Ottensen is probably the city’s most eclectic quarter. The concept store The Box, located in an old factory building from 1868, fits in perfectly. It unites a remarkable furniture shop where quirky curiosities meet iconic designer sofas, an arty bookstore, a minimalistic kitchen shop, and two modern art galleries. There also is a café where occasionally readings, concerts, and other events take place. A great location to browse and find inspiration—not only on rainy afternoons.
