Originally built for the Soviet pavilion at the 1974 Leipzig Trade Fair to represent Tajikistan culture, the tearoom remained in the possession of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship and resided for years in the Palais am Festungsgraben. Due to a renovation phase starting in 2012, it relocated to KunstHof. Here, the tradition continues. Guests are seated on traditional Ikat cushions at knee-high tables and enjoy tea, pastries, and Russian or international specialties.
