But once you’ve entered the secret world of these gorgeous Chelsea gardens – founded in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries for the purpose of training apprentices, and containing 5000 species of edible, useful and medicinal plants – you’ll find yourself wanting to return again and again. There’s also a fabulous shop and an award-winning café.
