In contrast to the gaudy American originals, this diner is dominated by dark Lapacho wood and subtle lighting. The menu, however, follows the American tradition, albeit supplemented by Brazilian touches. The steak, for example, is shaped for grilling, but arrives on the plate as nature intended. Pretty wild! Perhaps that’s why the younger members of the Brazilian upper class feel so comfortable here.
